MARINA BARRAGE KAYAK CLEAN UP  | 19 October 2019

Known commonly as Singaporean's go-to location for Sunday picnics and kite-flying activities, Marina Barrage is home to clear skies, good vibes and, unbeknownst to many, litter.

That's why we decided to kick off our first community service event with a kayak clean-up there. Together with our team of 23, we collected 8kg of thrash from the reservoir. Imagine just how much more could be picked with more people onboard!

Through this activity, we hope to highlight the issue of litter in Singapore, and encourage good social behaviour with a healthy dose of bonding in-between. Many thanks to Community Service Chair Tai Wen for arranging this!

VOLUNTEER WORK AT S.O.S. KUCHING | 5 November 2019

There's nothing more heartening than watching two clubs work hand in hand to serve the needs of every member of the community - furry ones included!

Both Rotaract Club of UMS and Rotaract Club of SEGi College Sarawak had their first joint community service work at S.O.S. Kuching during a fellowship trip to RACUMS. Needless to say, they all had a blast helping their four-legged friends and bonding with each other.

Here's a big thank you to the staff from S.O.S. Kuching for their hospitality and allowing our volunteers to give love  to the strays there.

VOLUNTEER WORK AT  LABUNA BIRD PARK| 30 November 2019

While most people visit bird parks to appreciate the birds, our volunteers from RAC UMSKAL were given the opportunity to go up close and personal with these feathered creatures!

They cheerfully took on the everyday duties of Labuna Bird Park's workers and fed and cleaned the birds as though they were their very own. Thanks for the work, team!

CHRISTMAS AT HOSPITALS

| 15 December 2019

'Tis the season to be jolly and our members from Rotaract Club of UMS and Rotary Club of Likas gave their time to spread a little Christmas cheer to the children at Hospital Wanita Dan Kanak-Kanak Sabah and Hospital Mesra, Bukit Padang.

By distributing presents, caroling and conducting games, these teams embodied the Christmas spirit of giving and hopefully brought some cheer to the patients at the various hospitals!

Here's wishing all the patients a speedy recover as well :)

CHRISTMAS FOR CDAC@YEW TEE & BUKIT PAJANG| 17 DECEMBER 2019

Together with sponsoring club Rotary Club of Marina City, Rotaract Club of Choa Chu Kang organised a wonderful Christmas Party for both Yew Tee and Bukit Panjang CDAC Centres at Conrad Centennial.

By bringing some Christmas cheer through gingerbread house decorating activities, game and festive feasting, we hope that the kids will grow up doing the same and give back to the community too!
